FAQs

Westgrove Vision Center

Have an eye care-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • How often do I need an eye exam?

It depends on your visual health. If you don’t wear contacts or glasses, schedule an appointment every two years. If you wear corrective lenses or are over the age of 60, you should visit us annually. More frequent checkups may be necessary for certain health conditions including diabetes or other eye diseases.

  • What does it mean to have 20/20 vision?

“20/20” refers to the sharpness of the vision. The top number is the viewing distance between the eye chart and the patient. The bottom number is the line on the chart. It measures how much a person can read when they are 20 feet away from the chart.

  • What products/services do you offer?

We offer optical exams, contact lenses, designer frames, pediatric eye care, general eye care, and vision insurance.

  • Can I sleep with my contacts in?

Even if you use extended-wear lenses, you should remove your contacts when you go to sleep. Wearing lenses while sleeping increases the risk of an eye infection. Keep in mind that the contact lens sits on the eye directly, decreasing the amount of oxygen that is available.

  • What Insurance does Westgrove Vision Center accept?

We accept Avesis, CareCredit, Comp Benefits, Davis Vision, Eye Med, Medicare, NVA, Spectera, Superior Vision Care, Vision Service Plan (VSP), and more. Call us today to see if your insurance is accepted.
